Dr. Jason Murphree
Pastor Murph has served in church ministry since 1995. Murph served on staff at Shades Mountain Baptist Church (Vestavia Hills), Central Park Baptist Church (Birmingham), and Hopewell Baptist Church (Hanceville) before becoming the founding pastor of Crosshaven Church in 2004. He continues to serve Crosshaven as our senior pastor and lead elder. Murph is married to Sharon (local pharmacist) and has three children (Jackson, Emma, and Jake). He graduated from Cullman High School in 1992, Samford University in 1996 (B.S. Secondary Education: Social Sciences and History), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000 (Masters of Divinity) and 2017 (Doctor of Ministry). Murph is a member of Samford University's Board of Ministerial Mentors and the Board of Influencers for The Foundry. He has taught history and math and coached basketball and tennis on the high school level, served as an instructor for classes for the NOBTS undergraduate program and the Samford Ministry Training Institute. Murph currently serves as the Men's Varsity Tennis Coach at Cullman High School. He likes to spend time with his family, coach and play tennis and basketball, travel, play guitar and piano, and try out new barbecue joints every time he gets a chance.

Haley joined Crosshaven in 2015 and quickly became involved with the worship ministry. She has served on staff as Worship Leader since 2016. Haley is married to Josh (local pharmacist), and their daughter's name is Lori Rose. Haley graduated from high school in 2012 (homeschool) and from Wallace State Community College with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2014. Haley grew up in a ministry family and has a heart for church ministry. Besides serving on staff as Worship Leader, Haley also volunteers with our children's ministry and leads a ladies Midweek Bible Study group. Haley has become a really good photographer and loves capturing life's greatest moments on camera. She is also a sensational violinist and gives lessons to others who aspire to play the violin.
Children's Ministry Director
Kayla came to Crosshaven as a member nearly a decade ago and served the church in many capacities before joining Crosshaven's staff in 2018. She is married to John (United States Marine and works at Van's Outdoors) and has two children (Harper and Will). Kayla graduated from Guntersville High School in 2005 and attended Wallace State Community College and Athens State University taking classes in Elementary Education. Kayla has been a full-time preschool teacher for the last 16 years, and she is currently the 4K teacher at Cullman Christian School. Kayla has a passion for reaching children and their families for Christ, She loves spending time with her family and loves photography and being creative. Her knack for creativity and thinking outside the box suit her well as she leads our children's ministry department.
